Walter Hinson is a Financial Advisor and co-founder of Tarheel Advisors, LLC.  Walter graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Business Administration and is also designated as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.  He has been practicing in the financial services industry since 2002.

Walter uses a disciplined wealth management process to help his clients manage, grow, and preserve their wealth.  He relies on a consistent approach in the selection of each asset class, and he hopes to achieve steady returns through diversification and risk management.  In addition to his investment selection criteria, Walter maintains a firm commitment with each client to periodically review the performance of their investments.  In this way, he holds himself accountable for both the good and bad, and at the same time promotes open communication.

Walter, his wife Laura, and son Walter Jr. are long time residents of the Triangle area and enjoy traveling, cheering for Carolina, and spending time with their Beagle, Jackson.  Walter is an avid golfer, and actively involved in the community through his service to the Arthritis Foundation, Cornucopia House, and Saint Francis United Methodist Church.
